Kidderminster High School (KHS) opened on the Chester Road South site in 1912 and ceased to exist as a separate entity in July 1977 when it was amalgamated with King Charles 1st School and Queen Elizabeth 1st Grammar School (Hartlebury)

The main role of our Old Girls Association, which was formed in 1914, is to help former pupils keep in touch with each other.

Our chairman, Beryl Bedford, (Acting Headmistress for the final 6 years of KHS) continues to do a wonderful job as Chairman. Beryl has held this position for over 20 years and we are indebted to her for her tireless work - as we are to many long serving committee members, past and present.

We have an AGM and luncheon in mid-September and a social meeting is usually held mid-March at the school (which is now called King Charles 1st School).

Flowers are sent or taken by volunteers to Old Girls who are unwell or in need of cheer - let us know of anyone who would benefit.

It has taken a while for the site to be found and known, if anyone with a website could set up a link to our site it will help increase our chances of being found when anyone searches for us.

We now have a link (see on the menu) to our own page on Facebook as a way for everyone to load their own photos and memories.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please contact us at web@khsoldgirls.org.uk We hope you will get in touch and let us know about yourself, your experiences and your memories of KHS as well as to update our database. Your contemporaries are certainly interested.

NEW ON THE SITE: a very interesting 64 page booklet entitled 'Memories of a School' which was printed in 1995 containing memories from 1914 to 1976 from staff and pupils.
